History

Jack Donovan started Broadwest in 1984 after working with a European-owned consulting company in New York. He noticed the increasing need for a line of high luminance, high quality illuminators as the trend to improve quality and viewing conditions was beginning in  U.S. mammography practices.

The journey began at the 100 block of West Broadway in downtown New York City where it remained for the next 22 years. In 2006 Jack relocated the company to where it now resides, in sunny Denver, Colorado.

Today, after nearly 30 years of providing high quality products to the industry, Broadwest Corporation remains a leader in the field of mammography film viewing equipment.

Caring Vision

We offer a wide range of creative viewing devices that have improved the practice of film and digital interpretation in the U.S. and abroad. Broadwest products have helped set the standards later incorporated by the American College of Radiology and the FDA's Mammography Quality Standards Act for mammography film viewing. We believe we have developed the largest installed base of fully masking illuminators in the U.S. through x-ray equipment dealers and directly since 1985.

Broadwest also has a large base of customers in the U.S. and Canada for motorized mammography viewers and we frequently ship our line of radiology products to overseas buyers.
